Harmony Legal was birthed out of a law firms frustration with leading practice management software. The law firm hired Sacramento based company, Allebrum, to build a custom solution that would fit their needs. During the discover phase it became apparent that the solution being built had wide-reaching benefits for other law firms as well.
We started throwing around long-term development options that did not exist with any other platforms and how we would position ourselves to compete in an already crowded space. We came up with a game plan and Harmony Legal, Inc. was birthed.
We are pushing the limits of what law firm practice management solutions are thought to be. We are often asked, “what makes you different than X.” We’ve been caught off guard with that question and stumbled for words and it took us awhile to realize that it wasn’t because we didn’t know what was different, but that it was an unfair question and comparison. It’s like asking a random question of, “What’s different between raspberries and apples?” Well, sure, they are both food, but when there is no context to the question, they are just fundamentally different.
Most platforms in this space are very data-centric. Their focus is on data and the user experience comes second. We are very user-centric. Our focus is on the user experience and how a law firm works. Because of our unique approach to data-storage, we can leave our focus there and the data just falls into place where we need it to appear.
